The Red Heart Look

Blanket, Model: Marah

I added this outfit to the collection after realizing it needed another jacket and pants ensemble, but substituting a cape for the jacket. Both garments are made from a blanket purchased at Emmaus, the second-hand store. The cape features a zipper in the middle, and is heart-shaped, as are the pants leg bottoms. (The heart shapes convey my love for Syria.) I maintained the blanket’s original trimming to finish the legs. Normally a menswear look, Marah insisted on modeling this outfit in order to break the gender barrier.
