The Owl of Istanbul
He was the head of the police force for the imperial city of Istanbul. People called him “The Owl.” They said he never slept, and was so well camouflaged during stakeouts that when he attacked the criminals, they didn’t know where the blows came from. He embraced this nickname so fully that he ordered the master jeweler to make him a ring with a stone carved in the shape of an owl. Jewelry shown is by Sevan Bicakciyan.
