Marina Sultan was the head wife of the fourth Ottoman Sultan. She was called, “The Elegant,” as no one, not even the handmaidens in her private court, ever saw her without her most elegant jewels and full makeup. It was said she slept wearing different jewelry every night of the year, never repeating a piece. Jewelry shown is by Monan.
