The Oracle

Handmade ceramic tiles, mirror glass & photolithograph on clay, 10” x 9”, SOLD

In this work the central image is an oracle, an ancient Greek prophesier who divined the future.  Here, he is steadfast against a ceramic backdrop of dark blue. Intently, he receives the power of the gods’ words, depicted as angular bolts of silver glass cutting through a sky of copper and blue glass. (Original photo: Alistair Findlay)
