Blue glass strips delineate opposing currents of turquoise and cobalt in a whirling water wheel of impending danger. The photo inset is based on a photo of me simply taking off a white mask. Through the unpredictable process of photolithography on clay, the figure became more abstract, eliciting mystery and a variety of possible meanings. (Original photo: Wendy F. Lang)
