Porcelain with glaze. 20”W 9”D 3”H. 500 USD

In 2000 I started a full-time job teaching art at a local college. It was demanding, and took all my energy for many years. I also became a grandmother that year, and was thrilled to spend time with my granddaughter. In 2004 I started working again after I set up a studio in my house. What was the inspiration for this piece? I don’t remember! But it was my first sculptural piece and is titled “River.” I enjoyed the fluid form, and the sense of play. (I no longer had to make pots to earn a living!)
