Eye on ’84 (1984)
Located at the 3rd Street on-ramp of LA’s Harbor Freeway (110) South, the mural’s three suspended cloth-like forms give the illusion of tapestries. Combining culturally specific and universal elements, such as a heart, trombone, and pyramid, each panel attempts to reflect local cultures. Los Angeles was the home of the 1984 Summer Olympics, generating an outpouring of creative energy. The mural was restored by the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles in 1992.
