I found a framed photograph on the street. While the frame was misshapen, I was able to use the photograph, painting over the original sunset photo with acrylics. Wanting to honor the original image, I decided to paint Boxi worshipping the sun. Hence its title, which means ‘worshippers’ in Spanish.
