“Mini Dread” addresses the beauty of locs (dreadlocks)—often worn by Black people—as well as the discrimination and stigmatization they’ve been subjected to worldwide in the past, and sadly enough, even today. However, nowadays I see a lot of young men and women sporting locs in all realms of life. People with locs are extremely proud of the natural hairstyle they’ve chosen, and demand it be accepted in all areas of their lives, including professional settings.
