Mudakhol

Acrylic on sheep wool sofreh kilim, 166 x 100 cm, £1850

Mudakhol is Farsi for the name of the pattern used to frame the edges of this piece. It was probably used by 90% of Iran’s Qashqai women when they wove a sofreh or other kilims.
