Acrylic on sheep wool khakandaz kilim, 198 x 135 cm, £3500

Like Dignity, this piece is painted on a khakandaz (Farsi for “witch” or “magician”), rather than on a sofreh. I felt the pattern of colors and lines was so carefully designed. The weaver put everything in just the right place, creating a harmonious combination.
