LaGuardia Corner Garden

The annual Rose Walk, with an intoxicating variety of roses on display, is but one of the garden’s not-to-be-missed activities. What was once a rat-infested lot in the mid-70s, is now one of the city’s most important rose-breeding locations. Musical performances, poetry readings, birthday celebrations, and Halloween costume contests are a few of the many ways that the garden celebrates the seasons. However, being in a coveted real-estate location (in the shadow of New York University), it continues to fight for its survival.
