The Weight Of Life

Rocks, bricks, wire, oilcloth, artificial moss, acrylic paint & glue, 140 x 50 cm, Artist’s Collection

Guilt is haunting day and night,
and I doubt myself for who I am

Guilt is the first emotion frequently associated with grief. Its heavy burden is permanently carried within. What if I gave him more time? Kissed him longer? Hugged him stronger? Spent more time smiling together? Regrets are overwhelming, and represented by heavy rocks hung on a wire being pulled gracefully by gravity. The human frame sank deep under the burden of guilt.
