Searching For Yourself
Morphed into something unpredictable that is still you
This work grew from my observation of the physical changes that time imposes on the human body and soul. The transformation and movement through rites of passage are a constant search for your ‘self.’ Who are you becoming? How are you changing? What is happening to your mind and body? Who is the new you? Letting go and welcoming changes—accepting the process of aging, your own mortality, offering a legacy and wisdom to the younger generations. For textural contrast, I used rough brick and smooth transfer paper, and hair. The eyes are at the wrong angle, looking inward awkwardly.
