Installation, Horsell Common

Repetition Series, Aluminum resin, Each form, 50 x 50 x 30 cm, Artist’s Collection

These seed-like pods explore the surreal, and are placed in the flooded sand pits of Horsell Common in Woking, England, where the alien life form landed in HG Wells’s novel War of the Worlds.

The Repetition Series reflects my interest in combining repeated abstract shapes and objects to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts. Like natural evolution, repetition can create difference as well as repetition.
