Related to ‘IMO-FTP-FR’ and ‘Free Them All,’ this piece started with an initial brush mark made with a broom. There was something about the relationship of the scale of the mark making that was important to this process. In this piece, I chose another word that was important to me—not only in reference to recent protests, but also to decades of my advocacy and social justice work. Also, in some sort of microcosm, it was a liberating act to work in a very different manner.
