I began my academic study of Ceramics in 1990, having left my life and job in New York City at age 47. My dream of many years was coming true, and I dove into full-time study with a passion. One of the many joys of this time was exposure to the history of world ceramics. I was particularly drawn to that of ancient Crete’s Minoan Period. This pot is inspired by the energy and form of its famous Octopus Vase.
