I cannot shake the idea of Joan of Arc in this figure. Saint Joan glorified, anointed, and adorned. The gold embellished velvet is from a collection of antique fabric scraps purchased at a flea market more than 20 years ago. St. Joan stands atop an antique Bible in front of raw, unadorned flax.
