Chandu Bapurao Sontake
The seeds of art for Chandu were sown in Kamptee when he was just 25 years old. Now at 58, he looks back at all the trucks he has adorned with his art and can't help but wonder, ‘What’s next?’ He knew the world might never come to his village, but his village could roam the world. His experiences in his village and the memories of his home inspire him to paint vibrant figures and scenery. He’s always had a keen interest in typography. Making art on trucks keeps him happy.
Raj Dongre
Raj has been painting for about 40 years now. His belief in his gods and village deities inspires his stylized portraits, and his devotion inspires his brush strokes. From a small village of Arni in the Yavatmal District of Maharashtra, Raj now resides in Nagpur. He is very passionate about calligraphy.
