In this metal sculpture, I materialized the desire to be loved and seen—something I’ve felt since my childhood and youth. The thin pieces I used get rusty over time, and become colored. They reflect that I am constantly growing and changing. After creating it, I realized the person I wanted to be seen and be appreciated by was actually me.
