This is one of my favorite images in my Reception Committee series. Maybe it’s a self-portrait. But let me explain right away that the character is just kissing the fish, not eating it!

This piece is from the Reception Committee series of 27 woodcuts produced for the 2004 World Cultural Forum in São Paulo. It was exhibited at the entrance of the Pólo Cultural Anhembi, a large outdoor venue with a capacity of 103,200.
