This was one of my earliest paintings. There’s a land where the sun shines, and a night-time scene with the moon. I used shell gold for the sun, and silver leaf sprinkles and white colour for the starry night sky. The snakes in the tree try to reach out and catch the fish. Trees create a sense of beauty, while the snakes and fish create an atmosphere of mystery. There’s an empty boat. I tried to create a sense of curiosity. Two worlds exist side-by-side—existing in fear—but still trying to survive.
