This scene is the artist’s rendering of a classic Karagöz play as interpreted by Karagöz artist Cengiz Ozek’s Magic Tree. Once again, the djinns and witches have intervened, turning Karagöz into a donkey (left) and Hacivat into a goat (right). Who knows how they’ll escape this curse?
