‘Being a servant of the sun, I must tell you about the sun.’ This line from Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi’s Masnavi was one of the inspirations for this tapestry from my ‘Aegean to Mediterranean’ collection. A cruise through the blue waters of Gokova, one of Bodrum’s picturesque bays, was the other. An enchanting sunrise over Gokova was simply a ‘must’ to depict, together with my eye figure.
