Snakes have been associated with the many of the oldest rituals, representing both good and evil. They symbolize fertility, rebirth, renewal and even immortality. Its ability to shed its own skin perhaps suggests regenerating youth. Also symbolizing medicine, snakes stand as the doorkeeper between life and death. Its venom has the power to both heal and expand consciousness through divine intoxication. In this snake-themed piece, I try to reflect all these powers with her spiral, eye-shaped pose and meaningful colors. Purple represents venom: death and immortality; orange is for the sun’s wisdom, and yellow for rebirth. Enjoy its healing effect!
