It was autumn when I was making this work for the show at the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Illinois. Oak leaves littered the ground everywhere I went. And so, with this piece I broke my rule of using only abstract forms. Ginkgo leaves and oak leaves pile on top of each other (as they do in my backyard), and gather in a bowl of plenty.
